1     Introduction

This document talks about the steps to upload your Database securely to PaperSaveCloudTM.

2     Transferring Your Database to PaperSaveCloudTM

This document will guide you on how to use FileZilla (a Secure FTP Client) to connect and upload your database file to the PaperSaveCloudTM Secure FTPS Server.

2.1      Download and Configure Filezilla

While you can use any Secure FTPS client, we recommend the usage of FileZilla as it is a free and easy to use Secure FTP Client. The following instructions are specific to FileZilla, but should give you the information you need should you choose a different secure FTPS client.

Download the FileZilla client from the links below. Please make sure to use the right version based on the computer that you will be using to initiate the file upload.

64 bit Client: FileZilla64 bit

32 bit Client: FileZilla32 bit

Install FileZilla using the default settings.

Open up FileZilla and click on File à Site Manager…

Click on the New Site button, name the new site as FTPS PaperSave, and hit Connect.

Host: ftps.papersave.com

Port: 21

Login Type: Normal

User: [UserName Provided to you by PaperSave for FTP Upload]

Password: [UserName Provided to you by PaperSave for FTP Upload]

Refer the following image for your reference.

After you click on Connect, FileZilla will ask you to trust the SSL connection and before clicking on OK, you may want to check off the check box labeled Always Trust Certificate. Click on OK button.

After trusting the certificate, you should be connected to the PaperSaveCloudTM Secure FTPS server.

2.2      Backup your PaperSave On-Premise Database and Upload using FileZilla

Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Click Connect. In the left-hand column, expand ‘Databases’. Right-click on the ‘PaperSave’ database, select ‘Tasks’ > ‘Back Up…’Under ‘Destination’, choose the ‘Disk’ radio button. Press ‘Add ‘button to choose a new location. Press the Ellipses (…) icon to browse to wherever you wish to backup. Enter a File Name for the backup (Sample_name.bak). If you chose a new location to back up to, and still see the default location, make sure you remove the unwanted default location. Having two backup locations will split the backup into two parts. Click OK. Once the PaperSave Database is successfully backed up, you should view a successful message.

Open Filezilla and make sure it is connected to the PaperSaveCloud FTP Site that you created in step 2.1.

To upload the .bak file that you generated in the prior steps of this section, simply drag and drop the file to the root folder location in the FTP, from the folder that you saved it on your local environment.

You will be able to view the upload status in the ‘Transfer Queue’ Pane.
